BUILDIT Assessment Privacy Terms

Draft for operator review. Check these terms against the actual service and complete site privacy policy before publishing. The current plugin does not offer summary sharing. For WordPress, the updated plugin provides the same terms through

Assessment privacy and control

Your assessment responses are private. You decide whether to display selected summary results when you are ready.

These terms apply to your BUILDIT assessment information and supplement the site privacy policy. They do not authorise public display, employer access or any other optional sharing.

1. Your private assessment record

Your individual answers, written responses, emotional disclosures, private feedback and detailed assessment history are not published or made available to employers, recruiters, other members or the public. They remain part of your private development record, subject to the limited operational access and legal requirements described below.

2. Why information is stored

We store your assessment responses, saved progress, results, assessment versions and relevant dates with your account to operate the assessment, maintain your development history and support feedback you request. Completing the assessment or accepting these terms does not give permission to display your results to anyone else.

3. Necessary operational access

Authorised BUILDIT administrators and service providers supporting the website may access or process assessment information only as necessary to operate, maintain, secure or support the service, subject to confidentiality and access controls. This is not a promise that only you can technically access the stored information.

Before any optional disclosure to a coach or external feedback provider, we will explain what information is involved, who will receive it and why, and obtain your specific permission. The current assessment plugin does not send responses to an external AI service. Any future use of such a service requires a separate, clear explanation and an appropriate permission process before information is sent.

4. Optional display of summary results

If a summary sharing feature is available, it will be off by default. You can choose which summary results to display, the assessment date or version they come from, and the audience offered by the sharing controls. You must be able to preview exactly what that audience will see before confirming your choice.

Summary results, sometimes called aggregated scores, summarise aspects of your own assessment. They are not anonymous when associated with your profile. Selecting a summary for display does not authorise disclosure of the underlying answers, written responses, emotional disclosures, private feedback or detailed history.

New assessments and newly calculated results remain private unless you separately choose to display them. Paying for your membership or assessment does not give an employer or any other person access. Declining optional sharing does not affect your eligibility for feedback.

Current release: summary sharing is not available. All assessment results remain private within the member service, subject to the operational access and legal requirements in these terms.

5. Changing your choice

Where optional sharing is available, you can stop displaying selected results through its privacy controls. Withdrawing permission stops future access through the BUILDIT sharing feature. It cannot guarantee removal of screenshots, downloads or other copies that recipients have already made. Consider this before choosing a public audience.

6. No sale or unrelated use

We do not sell your assessment responses or use them for targeted advertising. Accepting these terms does not authorise use of your responses to train external AI models, publish research, create employer reports or supply information to recruitment services. Any proposed optional secondary use requires a separate explanation and specific permission; it is not a condition of receiving development feedback.

7. Access, correction and deletion

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your assessment information through the contact process in the site privacy policy. We may need to verify your identity. Submitted baselines are preserved as historical records in the assessment interface, but this does not remove your ability to request correction or deletion.

Deleting assessment information may remove progress comparisons or prevent feedback that depends on that information. Retention periods, backup handling and any legally required retention must be explained in the site privacy policy. Deactivating the assessment plugin does not itself delete your records.

8. Disclosures required by law

If applicable law or a binding court order requires disclosure, we will limit the disclosure to what is required and notify you where legally permitted. This exception does not give employers or other members routine access to your assessment information.

9. Further privacy information

The site privacy policy provides the operator's identity and contact details, service provider and overseas processing information, retention arrangements, and the process for privacy enquiries and complaints. These assessment terms do not replace that policy.
