BUILDIT · INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE TRANSLATION
← Your profileAustralian Role Translation
Translate your most demanding construction experience into the Australian market. This tool does not rely on job titles alone. It combines your completed BUILDIT baseline, international-context development data and a detailed reconstruction of the work you actually carried at the same time.
1. Prerequisite profile evidence
Role Translation is most useful when it sits on top of evidence already collected elsewhere in BUILDIT rather than asking you to start again.
Provides role, experience, responsibility breadth and starting behavioural profile.
Provides contextual evidence about communication, hierarchy, judgement and Australian project fluency.
Allows the translation to distinguish technical role fit from local-context readiness.
2. Imported from your completed profile
In production these values should come directly from the baseline and international-development pathways. They are shown here as pilot placeholders.
3. Reconstruct your most demanding role
Think about the 6–12 month period when your responsibilities were broadest, most demanding or most senior. We care more about what you carried than what your title was.
4. Build the workload you actually carried
Select the activities that formed part of that demanding role. Then allocate the approximate percentage of a typical month spent on each. The total should be close to 100%.
5. Add depth to each selected activity
For every activity, show how much of your time it consumed, the highest level at which you performed it, how broad the responsibility was and how consequential the decisions were.
